Delmonico Grill

Delmonico is not just a restaurant for me. As a local Rapid City resident and long-time foodie...I can say without hesitation and with great reverence that Delmonico is beyond every other Rapid City establishment in both quality and taste of food, as well as ambience and service. I frequent this business at least once a week and have never enjoyed less than stellar service from the waitstaff and never had less than incredible meals from the talented back of house chefs. I would recommend to everyone...don't penny pinch here, try the dry aged steaks and compliment your decision with a rich wine; enjoying what money can buy is one of life's greatest pleasures. Go to Delmonico and experience excellence for yourself.- Josiah

The service was awesome. The food was even better. Went with my brother for lunch but would be a perfect place to take a date. Casual comfortable atmosphere. Will visit again!

It's a bit pricey but the food and service are top-notch

Great place. I had the delicious double pork chops. They're not kidding. This thing is a mountain. And not many chefs know how to cook pork medium rare, but a double to perfection? Awesome!

Great food and even better service! My steak was cooked exactly as ordered and was full of flavor. Ate too much so wasn't able to try dessert but I'm sure it would have been delicious.

Cheyenne was awesome and very professional. Food however was way under par for what they charge.

We were pleasantly surprised that Rapid City would have such a superb restaurant as Delmonicos. The steaks were absolutely tremendous - tender, flavorful and as tasty as one could ever imagine. The meal was further topped off by an excellent server - wasn't rushed and always there when we needed her. I'd go back there without hesitation.

Had dinner at a meeting held upstairs. Steak was great but service was poor. The server really seemed like she did not want to be there. As expensive as the menu is, I hope the service is better in the regular dining area.

Outstanding service, food and environment. A little loud but that is because it is popular. Loved it, will definitely be back.

Very quiet for lunch, great staff. Had the steak sandwich, a combination of French Dip, Philly cheese steak and prime rib sandwich, it was very good.

Consistently a great dining experience. From the food to the ever attentive wait staff it is fine dining for the discriminating palette. The fillet and scallops were excellent and as was the company. To be able to celebrate ones 25th Anniversary in a intimate setting with wonderful food and the one you love. It just doesn't get better than that. Please reserve a table because it can fill up fast. It is a leisurely enjoyed dining experience so please make sure you plan accordingly. It is fine dining so remember that it is priced as such. If you try it you will want to go back again. Salute!

Fancy looking place in the heart of downtown. Had the steak for two. Very competently done, meat had good texture, not gristly. The taste of the dry aging was more evident in the fatty edge than most of the meat. Still terrific as leftovers the next day lol.

As usual this place was amazing. I go here a few times a year and each experience is the best. The steak was great and the fish, even better. If you're coming here for the first time and can help it, I would suggest sitting on the second floor. The seating is much more selective and it's away from the busy rush of the crowd on the floor. Plus the view is amazing.

Food is always great. Service is slow during lunch, so don't go here if you only have an hour.French onion soup is the absolute best!!

Excellent food in an upscale setting for this neck of the woods. Great steak options - everyone in our group loved what they ordered. Would consider going back if/when I'm in the area again. However, it's definitely not inexpensive.

If you want phenomenal food and even better service, this is the place!! The wet aged Kona steak is to die for and the French onion soup is just as good!! The prices reflect the quality of food and service, so if you’re looking for something fast, cheap and adequate go to Texas roadhouse, but if you’re looking for true fine dining at a leisurely pace where you can savor your food and company, this is the place for you!! Jessica is one of the best servers we’ve had and made it that much better!! No question, will be back!!

Upscale dining in a very comfortable space. The decor is very pleasing, the service is impeccable, and the food is OUTSTANDING!!!!!

The steak was good. But I think a place like this shouldn't use instant potatoes. I've seen Assisted Living places make potatoes scratch.

the interior got my good impression immediately. servers were lovely and food was delicious HUGE bonus for minimizing plastic for to go and straws. you guys did great!

The meal and the setting were fantastic. Intimate style dining area and small bar in the back. Great bruschetta. The salad was a hefty wedge with bacon and blue cheese, which was delicious. The filet was done perfectly as well. I'll be going back!

Among the cages and restaurants in downtown Rapid City, the Delmonico Grill stands out for it's inventive menu, excellent preparation, and delightful presentation. The atmosphere and design is sleek and sophisticated. If the portabella chilli is on the menu, give it a try. Great service.

Food was terrific....beautiful resturant

My filet was perfectly prepared. The garlic mashed potatoes had freshly grated parmesan. The creme brulee was classic and delicious. My moscato was just the way I like it. To top off the night, the waitress was so genuine and friendly.....and her name was not Rachel.

The mashed potatoes were instant boxed potatoes. New York strip steak was excellent.

Amazing place. Great value as a steakhouse and friendly and professional service. Excellent ample menu with many choices, but the king of all are its steaks. Its south Dakota after all. Ambiance is excellent and location around and walking distance from hotel make it for a great place to enjoy dinner while in rapid city. Good variety of wines by bottle or by glass. Staff was quick friendly and professional. Food tasted amazing!

Nice staff, and fun environment. But our main course took over an hour and came out ice cold. Scallops are impossible to eat cold. They did give us a discount, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 2 or 3.

Best steak I've had in awhile. Beautiful aesthetic, great customer service, and even better food.

For a truly great dining experience in the Rapid City area, this is it! The steaks are tremendous and there is a modern ambience that is perfect. Jessica, our waitress, is what customer service is all about. The pianist was excellent as well and added the perfect touch to a relaxing evening. I would recommend Delmonico all day long!

Good service with nice upscale choices.

I wish I remembered the name of the man at the bar who served us. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu items. I had questions about the cut of steak I wanted- I knew what I liked but didn't know what cut it was. His assistance led to me eating one of the best filets I've ever had. Better than Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. I loved my meal, and so did my friend. Perfect medium cook. Live piano music added to the ambiance. Altogether it was a lovely meal that really complimented our fun weekend in Rapid City.

Great Staff. Amazing food, amazing wine, amazing dessert. Had an awesome New York Strip steak and some great company made it all the better! Highly recommend.
